Ingredients

  • 12 cups bone broth (see our broth recipe → find it here)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 5 cups mixed vegetables (we love carrots, celery, onion & garlic)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 16oz fresh egg noodles (get the recipe → find it here)

Optional Spices & Flavor Boosters

If you want to elevate the flavor a bit, try adding one or more of these:

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ¼–½ teaspoon turmeric (great color + benefits)
  • a squeeze of fresh lemon at the end
  • extra minced garlic

These are optional — the broth already carries amazing flavor.


How to Make Chicken Noodle Soup

Step 1 – Bring the broth to a gentle boil.
Add your bone broth to a dutch oven or large pot and heat until simmering.

Step 2 – Add vegetables.
Stir in carrots, celery, onion, and garlic.
Simmer until tender (about 30 minutes depending on size).

Step 3 – Add chicken.
Mix in the shredded chicken and let it warm through.

Step 4 – Season.
Add salt, pepper, and any optional spices.

Step 5 – Add noodles last.
Fresh noodles cook quickly!
Simmer just until tender, usually 3–5 minutes.

Step 6 – Serve warm.

Mama’s Tip

If you plan on leftovers, cook the noodles separately and add them to each bowl.
They’ll stay perfect and won’t soak up all that beautiful broth overnight. It also gives you some freedom to freeze the broth and add the noodles fresh after thawing.
